History: Micah J. Lyman was born in New York City, New York, the second child of Axel Lyman, a former actor, and Ariel Dorian, a fashion designer. Lyman began acting at the age of three, appearing in commercials, and as he got older, appearing in minor roles on television and film.

His big break was being cast in the soap opera Evening and Morning as Kenneth Marsh in 1990. Lyman would go on to leave the show in 1994, and shortly after land a role in the drama film Saviours, about a bunch of people with superhuman powers, and subsequently the critically acclaimed fantasy Dragonfly in 1996.

In 1997, Lyman auditioned and got the part for the role of Jon Snow in PBS's Westeros: A Hymn of Frost and Flame, which as of 1999 is currently in its second season.

And this is what the public knows of Micah Lyman, in addition to his allergies to cats and his tendency to wear oversized sunglasses in public. They know the things he states in his interviews, and what they see in his "profiles" in magazines aimed towards teenaged girls. But they don't know of his actual superhuman powers, so they don't know that they manifested during the filming of Saviours and therefore, can't laugh at the irony.

They also don't know of his part in the end of the world-- though at present time, he doesn't either.

Personality: Micah grew up in the spotlight, so he's always been self-conscious. A little on the edge and a tiny bit paranoid-- probably not the best thing to be when one's a celebrity, though he reads tabloids and magazines religiously just to check what people are saying about him. Not much bad press generally comes up, but he's always a little bothered about the rumours that turn up in the girly magazines.

He's a perfectionist to the core and is constantly trying to fix things that don't need fixing. Things that aren't done to his specifications and requirements make him uneasy, so he's often accused of being a diva or making a scene when he thinks something is terribly wrong. Micah is very much one for the melodramatics and overreactions in real life but doesn't make a habit of it in his acting.

But overall, he's as normal a teenager as he's able to be considering his lifestyle, but generally takes things too seriously, believing in a deeper meaning behind all things. Looking at his parents, nobody is quite sure where he gets it from.

Appearance: Micah has always been described as "cute". If it isn't "cute", it's "dreamy". He has a "cute" face, and "dreamy" blue eyes. His hair colour is heavily debated-- blue? Black? Black with a blue tint?-- except when a role calls for something more regular. He has a boyish look about him which people say makes him look trustworthy. It doesn't really make sense to him but half the things they say don't either.
